Surgery Scheduler
We are a large multi-specialty ophthalmology practice dedicated to serving the vision needs of our patients. The surgery department fulfills a vital role in helping prepare patients for their surgical procedures and acts as a liaison between the office, surgical facility, patient and primary care physician. The coordinator must be comfortable speaking directly with patients and physicians about medical procedures. Physical requirements include the ability to sit at a desk or workspace for up to eight hours per day.

- Reads and understands clinical notes
- Has strong working ophthalmic vocabulary
- Obtains timely and proper eligibility and authorization for procedures
- Accurately prepares surgery folders
o Coordinates appointments between various programs including facility programs.
o Corresponds CPT code with appropriate ICD code
o Uses time effectively
