Wavefront technology was originally developed for use in high-powered telescopes to measure and reduce optical distortions when viewing objects in space.

With CustomVue wavefront technology, we can now identify, measure, and address imperfections in your eye 25 times more precisely than with conventional methods used for glasses and lenses. This advanced refractive information is transferred to the AMO VISX STAR S4 IR Excimer Laser System and is used as a guide to reshape your cornea during your laser vision treatment.

Treatments are available for a variety of San Francisco LASIK patients, including those with astigmatism, whether the astigmatism is associated with nearsightedness, farsightedness or mixed astigmatism. As a result of more than 94% of the U.S. population that requires vision correction, 21 years of age or older, is potentially eligible for this life-altering procedure.
